Food Manufacturing
At Al Mowsem Complex, the flour manufacturing process begins with sourcing wheat grains, which are the main grain used for ElNokhba flour production. The wheat grains undergo a series of steps, including cleaning to remove impurities, blending to create a mix suitable for producing the desired quality of flour, and milling to separate the endosperm from the other kernel portions. The milling process involves grinding the grains and sifting the ground stock to obtain flour of the desired fineness. The resulting ElNokhba flour is then packaged in our modern facilities and ready for distribution.
Facilities
Our facilities include plants, production lines, warehouses, and cooling areas. These components are essential for the smooth operation of our food manufacturing processes. The plants house the machinery and equipment used for various stages of production, such as grinding, mixing, and packaging. Production lines are set up within the plants to ensure efficient and systematic processing of raw materials into finished products.
Warehouses play a crucial role in storing raw materials, intermediate products, and finished ElNokhba goods. Our warehouses include storage areas for sugar and rice while cooling areas are dedicated spaces where temperature and humidity are carefully controlled to preserve the quality of sensitive food products like frozen chicken.
Food Quality & Safety
To ensure the production of safe, high-quality flour products that meet regulatory standards and our customer expectations, we at Al Mowsem Food Complex have established strong allergen management procedures, traceability systems, and supplier quality assurance programs. Above all, we adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) protocols, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment and practicing proper handling and storage of ingredients. Our proactive approach includes a comprehensive Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan to identify and manage potential food safety hazards. Likewise, regular quality control checks are carried out to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.

The complex maintains strict standards in procurement, production, and distribution, ensuring excellence through obtaining the Libyan Quality Mark and its work to obtain ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 certifications.
